ABOUT TOKSCRIPTS

Video words.
Useful source material.

tokscripts is an independent web application for turning permitted video speech into text you can review, save, and take into your next task.

What tokscripts does

Our starting point is a single public TikTok video. When processing is available, paste its link, review the returned plain and timestamped text, and export TXT, Markdown, or JSON. Signed-in users can keep private transcript history and download an available original cover image. Each account has five successful ordinary transcriptions per UTC day; failures and existing results do not consume that allowance.

How processing works

The site checks source and service availability before processing. Supported TikTok links are resolved to accessible media, and a configured speech or multimodal provider produces the transcript. Own recordings can use the upload workflow. The upload form shows the limit for the configured provider: normally 6 MB with OpenRouter, or up to 25 MB with Deepgram. Source availability, recording length, speech clarity, and provider limits can affect the result.

What to check before using a result

Review names, numbers, negations, and uncertain passages against the recording. AI-generated timestamps are reference points, not a guarantee of subtitle alignment. Plain and timestamped text alone do not establish subtitle cue end times. SRT export requires reviewed start and end times for each cue; use the dedicated subtitle editor or an existing timed transcript for that task.

Current scope and planned connections

Instagram and YouTube processing depend on separately configured platform support; a recognized link is not proof that it can be processed. Public MCP access, personal agent credentials, and installable Skills are planned. A reviewed Markdown file can already be used in Claude Code, Codex, or another AI workspace without an MCP connection. Creator AI writing has launch pricing of $9.90 monthly, $59 annually, or $69 lifetime; checkout is not open and these pages do not activate a paid plan.

Who publishes the guides

The tokscripts project is responsible for articles under the tokscripts editorial byline. Guides combine inspectable examples, product behavior, and linked primary documentation. AI may assist drafting; the byline does not claim an independent reviewer, named expert, or credentials we have not identified.

Our examples and independence

“A slower morning” is original constructed demonstration text with an illustrative timeline. It is not a customer video, accuracy benchmark, or measured success story. We do not infer a creator’s performance from a transcript. tokscripts is not affiliated with TikTok, Meta, YouTube, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
