Choose the right source
Start with your original video or authorized audio file. For a long tutorial, choose the specific recording or excerpt your task requires; a playlist URL is not an upload.
Direct YouTube link transcription is not connected in tokscripts yet. To work on your own video or a recording you are allowed to process, upload its audio or video file and review the resulting transcript.
Start with your original video or authorized audio file. For a long tutorial, choose the specific recording or excerpt your task requires; a playlist URL is not an upload.
Open Video to Text to see the active service and file limit. The usual OpenRouter limit is 6 MB; deployments configured with Deepgram can accept up to 25 MB.
Check chapter changes, technical names, numerical values, and quotations against the original. Keep source context when exporting your reviewed text for notes or an AI task.
A tutorial transcript is useful for searching explanations, making study notes, and checking a spoken procedure. Add the source reference and distinguish the speaker’s words from your own interpretation. A transcript is not a verification of claims made in the video.
For Shorts, watch for fast speech and sound effects that obscure a word. For interviews, review speaker changes. For lessons or demos, note visual-only steps separately rather than asking a speech transcript to account for every screen action.
TXT is suitable for reading and editing the words. Timestamped transcript references help you navigate, but they do not establish verified subtitle cue boundaries. SRT requires reviewed start and end times; an existing SRT can be edited in our browser-only subtitle tool.
YouTube channel imports, playlists, private-video access, and batch URL processing are not currently available. This page does not download a video from its YouTube URL or request your YouTube password.

No. Direct YouTube link processing is planned. Use a permitted recording in the upload workflow when its service is connected; do not paste a URL into the file input.
The file must fit the limit shown by the upload form, and the configured provider may have additional recording-duration limits. A successful upload does not guarantee the recording can be processed. Use your own authorized excerpt if needed.
No. Channel, playlist, and batch imports are not released. The current alternative is one authorized recording at a time.
Treat them as references until reviewed. A subtitle cue needs a start and an end aligned to speech. Raw timestamped text alone does not establish both boundaries.
Yes. Export reviewed text or Markdown, retain the source reference, and provide that file to your agent with a specific task. This file workflow does not require public tokscripts MCP or Skill access.
