Who to contact
tokscripts is an independent transcript service at tokscripts.com. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the service operator at siyuantong7@gmail.com. This is also the contact for the practices described below.
Account and workspace data
We store your account name, email address, authentication records and sessions. Google or GitHub sign-in shares the profile and email information needed to create and authenticate your account. Your Google or GitHub password is not shared with tokscripts. Email/password accounts use hashed passwords, not readable passwords.
When you save work, we store the source URL, video metadata and cover, transcript text, any available timestamps, edits, saved AI drafts and processing status. Account records are separated by user. Usage records enforce the daily transcription allowance and request limits. Your saved work is not published as a public transcript page.
Recordings and external providers
A submitted TikTok link may be resolved through TikWM to retrieve public metadata and the recording. This sends the video URL to that service. Audio or video submitted for transcription is sent to the configured speech provider. The current OpenRouter path uses Google Gemini through Google AI Studio; an operator-configured Deepgram path can process uploads. AI writing sends the relevant transcript text to OpenRouter and its model provider.
Those providers process data under their own policies and retention settings. Do not submit confidential, sensitive or third-party material you are not entitled to share with them. The browser-only SRT editor does not upload your pasted subtitle file. Local SRT edits are lost when you leave unless you download them.
Storage and retention
Cloudflare hosts the application and its D1 database. Saved transcripts, video metadata, cover images and account records remain in your workspace until removed or a deletion request is completed. The application does not retain an original uploaded recording or original downloaded media file in its database; these are processed in memory. This does not control a provider's own retention.
Moving a transcript to trash is recoverable and does not immediately erase it. Permanent deletion removes the selected transcript and linked saved AI outputs from the active database. Account deletion requests are handled by email after ownership verification. Infrastructure backups and provider retention can delay complete erasure; we do not promise an unsupported immediate-backup deletion period.
Cookies, security and service records
We use authentication cookies to maintain your session and protect sign-in flows. We do not currently embed advertising trackers in this application. Cloudflare and upstream providers may process IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect their services. Do not include credentials in support messages. Authentication and application errors should be reviewed without exposing tokens or recording contents.
Your requests
You can export saved transcripts, edit them and remove them through the workspace. Email siyuantong7@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of account data, or to raise a privacy concern. Include your account email and a description of the request, but never a password or sign-in code. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.

We update this page when the service's processing or providers change. The effective date identifies this version. See the terms of service for source permissions and service limitations.
